Shane Broderick is an EM Advanced Specialist Trainee with a specialist interest in trauma. He developed the national trauma proforma for Ireland, wrote the position papers on trauma teams for the Irish Association for Emergency Medicine and the Emergency Medicine Programme and is the founder and course director for RESUSCITATE (www.resuscitate.ie), a cadaveric emergency surgical skills course teaching the advanced procedures necessary for complex trauma resuscitation.
