Damian Roland: When we get the wrong answer from the right research at DFTB17

SHARE VIA:

This talk was recorded live on the second day at DFTB17 in Brisbane.

Damian Roland is a consultant and honorary associate professor in Paediatric Emergency Medicine. He is a research powerhouse, as you can tell from the list of his recent publications. He is also the chair of PERUKI – the Paediatric Emergency Research in the UK and Ireland – and contributes heavily to our monthly round-up of exciting literature.

In this talk he asks us to be wary of the conclusions we draw from just reading the abstract. He reminds us, as have all of our great speakers, that we are here, ultimately, to make a difference for our patients.

You can listen to this talk as you walk to work on any device that supports podcasts.

So, sit back and watch the talk.

Our resident visual wizard, Grace Leo, has captured her thoughts…

Damian and Sarah McNab will be leading a workshop on bringing evidence based medicine into practice on the pre-conference Sunday. Sign up if you want to be a little better at appraising the literature.
