DFTB17 keynotes announced

The team at DFTB are in the process of putting together a brand new acute paediatric conference. DFTB17 will run over three days from 28th-30th August 2017 in Brisbane. It will cover cutting-edge research and insight into paediatric care.

Today, we are very excited to be able to release the list of our keynote speakers. We have secured keynote speakers from Australia, the UK, and the US.

The theme of the conference is ‘Making a Difference’ and our keynotes will inspire you to do just that. We have a range of changemakers who have altered the face of paediatric healthcare. They have made a difference through social activism, media, surgeries that push boundaries, reforming healthcare policy, and building foundations and clinics where they are most needed. They will share with you their stories and lessons that you can take forward to make a difference in your own clinical practice.

And we are very proud to announce that 10 out of our 19 keynote speakers are women. We know that this has been an issue in medical conferences in the past, and the DFTB team hope to lead the way in changing what has been unfortunately the norm.

You can check out the full list of keynotes here.

Our conference programme will be released in the next couple of months, along with the full list of speakers which will include another 40 awesome speakers on topics that will update you on best paediatric practice and exciting new developments in child health.

If you would like to be included as a speaker then please submit your pitch via the DFTB17 website.

Registration will open on 28th November and as it’s our inaugural year, tickets will be limited so don’t miss out.

And if you have any thoughts or suggestions for the conference, then get in touch!
